CARAVAN

From the hills of pale disgrace they came to reach the sun
Twothousand men so blind of pride, for glory they marched on

In the distance - miles away - veiled by emerald mist
Temptation called enchantingly, nobody could resist
They roamed the lands and crossed the seas, their greed made them move on
They swallowed all their doubts on what they´ ll do and what they´ ve done

They fought a hundret wars down in the valleys they had crossed
To carry on the caravan - no battle ever lost
Then one day temptation disappeared, the meaning just was gone
It vanished in the distance but the caravan marched on

Now two thousand years went by, the story was forlorn
But sometimes in clear summernights you may see the caravan march on
